Evergreen well-being calls are provided by our Home Support Team. During this visit your Home Support Worker will spend time with you, care for your well-being, and check you are safe and secure in your home.
Our Home Support Workers will visit to check that all of the your basic needs are met. This includes ensuring that meals are being eaten and there’s enough food provisions, checking you’re up to date with any medication, making certain the home is warm and that you’re suitably dressed. Home Support Workers can also carry out safety checks such as making sure the house is secure and checking that smoke alarms are in working order. Short trips out can also be arranged.
The well-being service is provided Monday to Friday apart from public holidays. Visits are arranged for a time that suits you, and will be carried out by a small, regular team of trained Home Support Workers, with whom you can build friendship and trust.
Our Home Support Workers are trained in safeguarding, confidentiality, monitoring well-being, prevention and intervention, best practice, and crisis support. They are also trained in the knowledge of common health conditions and social issues facing the ageing adult.
